Evgeny Mikhailovich Volodin, leading researcher of the Institute of Computational Mathematics (IWM RAS), author of the IWM RAS climate model of joint atmospheric and ocean circulation — the only Russian climate model included in the ensemble of 23 models of the international CMIP joint modeling project.
Staff
The laboratory staff includes 9 research workers, one engineer and 7 laboratory assistants.
The laboratory is headed by N.V. Ilyin, IAP RAS.
What are we doing?
Our laboratory conducts research into the electromagnetic environment of the Earth and its effect on the biosphere.
We will improve the parametrization of climate systems, thunderstorm activity and other complex geophysical systems. For these purposes, computer modeling is widely used.
